Deux versions s’offrent aux gastronomes : le salé et le sucré. Du haricot sec au délicieux bonbon croquant, feuilleté chocolat-nougatine, à la crème de haricots qui permet de donner un côté très fondant à tous les gâteaux, vous n’en ferez qu’une bouchée. Un vrai délice. Nous est contée ici sa légende. A la fin du XIXème siècle, le guetteur de la cathédrale de Soissons nommé Le Paon, ne quittait pas le haut de la tour. Il surveillait la ville et les incendies tout en exerçant son métier de cordonnier. Afin d’égayer sa plate-forme de pierre, il se mit à semer des haricots dont la production, conséquente, lui permit d’offrir aux touristes des petits sachets de haricots. Jardin actuellement en travaux, réouverture en juin 2025.

The legend is recounted here. At the end of the 19th century, the watchman of Soissons Cathedral, named Le Paon, never left the top of the tower. He kept an eye on the city and the fires, while practicing his trade as a shoemaker. To brighten up his stone platform, he started planting beans, which he produced in large quantities, enabling him to offer tourists little bean bags. The garden is currently being restored, and will reopen in June 2025.

Eine wahre Delikatesse. Hier wird uns seine Legende erzählt. Jahrhunderts verließ der Wächter der Kathedrale von Soissons namens Le Paon nicht die Spitze des Turms. Er beobachtete die Stadt und die Brände, während er seinem Beruf als Schuhmacher nachging. Um seine steinerne Plattform aufzuheitern, begann er, Bohnen zu säen, deren Ertrag ihm erlaubte, den Touristen kleine Bohnentüten anzubieten. Der Garten wird derzeit renoviert, Wiedereröffnung im Juni 2025.

Een waar genot. De legende wordt hier verteld. Aan het einde van de 19e eeuw verliet de wachter van de kathedraal van Soissons, Le Paon genaamd, nooit de top van de toren. Hij hield de stad en de branden in de gaten terwijl hij als schoenmaker werkte. Om zijn stenen platform op te fleuren, begon hij bonen te planten, die hij in grote hoeveelheden produceerde, zodat hij toeristen kleine bonenzakjes kon aanbieden. De tuin wordt momenteel gerestaureerd en zal in juni 2025 heropend worden.

Aquí se cuenta la leyenda. A finales del siglo XIX, el vigilante de la catedral de Soissons, llamado Le Paon, nunca abandonaba lo alto de la torre. Vigilaba la ciudad y los incendios mientras trabajaba como zapatero. Para alegrar su plataforma de piedra, empezó a plantar judías, que producía en grandes cantidades, lo que le permitía ofrecer a los turistas bolsitas de judías. El jardín está siendo restaurado y reabrirá sus puertas en junio de 2025.

Per i buongustai esistono due versioni: salata e dolce. Alla fine del XIX secolo, il guardiano della cattedrale di Soissons, chiamato Le Paon, non lasciava mai la cima della torre. Teneva d'occhio la città e gli incendi mentre lavorava come calzolaio. Per rallegrare la sua piattaforma di pietra, iniziò a piantare fagioli, che produsse in grandi quantità, permettendogli di offrire ai turisti dei piccoli sacchi di fagioli. Il giardino è attualmente in fase di restauro e sarà riaperto nel giugno 2025.
