La Mutte – Au Pays du Roussard – Sargé-sur-Braye

Le Pays du Roussard tire son originalité de l’utilisation, dans le patrimoine bâti, d’un matériau peu courant : le grès roussard. Sur ses plateaux d’argile à silex, aucune pierre de taille n’était disponible ; le grès ferrugineux a donc été utilisé. Exposition et circuits découverte au départ de Sargé. A découvrir sur un des circuits : Carrière de la Mutte, lieu original et unique dans le Perche Vendômois, sur 1,5 ha, cette ancienne carrière de roussard, classée Espace Naturel Sensible, est bordée par un bois de châtaigniers avec des landes résiduelles.
