LES JARDINS SUSPENDUS : PARC DES ESCARGOTS

Ce parc pittoresque, édifié à partir de 1808, possède deux monumentaux belvédères de pierre sèche dont la forme et la spirale qui permet de le gravir ont donné leur nom à ces fabriques emblématiques des Jardins suspendus de Cohons. Le premier, quadrangulaire, évoque un Mastaba, sépulture de l’Égypte ancienne, tandis que le second, circulaire, domine le paysage de ses 5 m de hauteur pour 16 m de diamètre. This picturesque park, built from 1808 onwards, boasts two monumental dry-stone belvederes, whose shape and spiral ascent have given their names to the emblematic fabriques of Cohons Hanging Gardens. The first, quadrangular, evokes a Mastaba, an ancient Egyptian burial site, while the second, circular, dominates the landscape with its 5 m height and 16 m diameter. Dieser malerische Park, der ab 1808 angelegt wurde, verfügt über zwei monumentale Aussichtspunkte aus trockenem Stein, deren Form und die Spirale, in der man sie erklimmen kann, diesen symbolträchtigen Fabriken der Hängenden Gärten von Cohons ihren Namen gegeben haben. Der erste ist viereckig und erinnert an eine Mastaba, eine Grabstätte aus dem alten Ägypten, während der zweite kreisförmig ist und mit einer Höhe von 5 m und einem Durchmesser von 16 m die Landschaft dominiert.
