Fortifications gallo-romaines Ringelberg-Stein – Oberhaslach

A une altitude de 611 m, cette enceinte ovale, d'une soixantaine de mètres de grand axe, appareillée en pierres sèches et longtemps attribuée à l'époque gallo-romaine date probablement du haut Moyen Age. Peut-être s'agit-il du site primitif du château voisin le Grand Ringelstein. Les fossés logent une carrière de bossage du début du XIIIe siècle ayant servi à la construction du Grand Ringelstein.

At an altitude of 611 m, this oval enclosure, about sixty metres long, built of dry stone and long attributed to the Gallo-Roman period, probably dates from the early Middle Ages. It may be the original site of the neighbouring castle of Grand Ringelstein. The ditches contain a boss quarry from the beginning of the 13th century which was used for the construction of the Grand Ringelstein.

Auf einer Höhe von 611 m über dem Meeresspiegel liegt diese ovale, etwa 60 m lange Ringmauer aus Trockenmauerwerk, die lange Zeit der gallo-römischen Epoche zugeschrieben wurde und wahrscheinlich aus dem Hochmittelalter stammt. Vielleicht handelt es sich um den ursprünglichen Standort der benachbarten Burg Grand Ringelstein. In den Gräben befindet sich ein Buckelsteinbruch aus dem frühen 13.
