Eglise Saint-Georges – Ciron

L'église de Ciron, appartenant autrefois au prieuré de Ruffec comporte une nef unique couverte d’un berceau brisé, une travée droite de chœur formant souche pour le clocher, et un chevet plat. Dans la nef, deux beaux chapiteaux se faisant face : la Tentation (nord) et la Crucifixion (sud) dans un symbolisme qui oppose la Chute et le Salut. Au portail en arc brisé, de beaux chapiteaux à motifs d’oiseaux, de feuillages et de fruits.

The small Ciron church, formerly belonging to the Ruffecis Priory, is tucked in a nice shady square and features the most beautiful 12th century lantern of the dead that can be seen in Berry. It has a single nave covered by a pointed barrel vault, a straight bay choir forming a base for the bell tower and a flat apse. In the nave, two beautiful capitals face each other: the Temptation (north) and the Crucifixion (south) from symbolism opposing the Fall and Salvation. On the pointed arch gate, there are beautiful capitals with bird, foliage and fruit motifs.

Die Kirche von Ciron, die früher zum Priorat von Ruffec gehörte, besteht aus einem einzigen Schiff mit einem gebrochenen Tonnengewölbe, einem rechten Chorjoch, das den Turmstumpf bildet, und einem flachen Kopfende. Im Kirchenschiff stehen sich zwei schöne Kapitelle gegenüber: die Versuchung (Norden) und die Kreuzigung (Süden) in einer Symbolik, die den Sündenfall und die Erlösung gegenüberstellt. Am Spitzbogenportal befinden sich schöne Kapitelle mit Vogel-, Blatt- und Fruchtmotiven.

De kerk van Ciron, die vroeger toebehoorde aan de priorij van Ruffec, heeft een enkel schip met een gebroken tongewelf, een rechter kooromgang die de stomp van de klokkentoren vormt, en een vlak chevet. In het middenschip staan twee prachtige kapitelen tegenover elkaar: de Verzoeking (noord) en de Kruisiging (zuid) in een symboliek die de zondeval en de Verlossing tegenover elkaar stelt. Het portaal heeft een spitsboog en prachtige kapitelen met vogel-, blad- en fruitmotieven.

La iglesia de Ciron, antiguamente perteneciente al priorato de Ruffec, tiene una sola nave cubierta con bóveda de cañón roto, un tramo de coro derecho que forma la base del campanario y una cabecera plana. En la nave, se enfrentan dos bellos capiteles: la Tentación (al norte) y la Crucifixión (al sur) en un simbolismo que opone la Caída y la Salvación. El portal tiene un arco apuntado y hermosos capiteles con motivos de pájaros, follaje y frutas.

La chiesa di Ciron, un tempo appartenente al priorato di Ruffec, ha un'unica navata coperta da una volta a botte spezzata, una campata destra del coro che costituisce il moncone del campanile, e un chevet piatto. Nella navata centrale si fronteggiano due bei capitelli: la Tentazione (a nord) e la Crocifissione (a sud), in un simbolismo che oppone la Caduta e la Salvezza. Il portale ha un arco a sesto acuto e splendidi capitelli con motivi di uccelli, foglie e frutta.
