Communauté de Taizé – Taizé

En 1940, frère Roger fonda dans ce village une communauté monastique qui va très vite rayonner dans le monde entier ; elle compte aujourd’hui une centaine de frères catholiques et de diverses origines protestantes, venant de trente pays. Des rencontres internationales semaine après semaine y rassemblent chaque année des dizaines de milliers de jeunes de tous les continents.

In 1940, Brother Roger settled in Taizé to found a religious community. Today, young people by the tens of thousands make their way to Taizé all year round, though in much larger numbers between Easter and the beginning of November to participate in community prayer celebrations and international gatherings. This world-renowned centre of worship and hospitality is coordinated by a community containing some one hundred monks from both the Catholic faith and a range of Protestant origins. The community is wholly supported by its work and products (publications, pottery, paintings, enamel work). Brother Alois now heads the community since the tragic loss of Brother Roger on August 16, 2005.

1940 gründete Frère Roger in diesem Dorf eine klösterliche Gemeinschaft, die sehr schnell in die ganze Welt ausstrahlte; heute zählt sie etwa 100 katholische Brüder und Brüder verschiedener protestantischer Herkunft aus 30 Ländern. Woche für Woche finden hier internationale Treffen statt, zu denen jedes Jahr Zehntausende Jugendliche aus allen Kontinenten zusammenkommen.

In 1940 stichtte frère Roger in dit dorp een kloostergemeenschap die zich zeer snel over de hele wereld verspreidde; vandaag telt ze een honderdtal katholieke broeders en broeders van diverse protestantse origine, afkomstig uit dertig landen. Week na week brengen internationale bijeenkomsten tienduizenden jongeren uit alle werelddelen samen.

Semana tras semana, los encuentros internacionales reúnen a decenas de miles de jóvenes de todos los continentes.

Nel 1940, frère Roger fondò in questo villaggio una comunità monastica che si diffuse molto rapidamente in tutto il mondo; oggi conta un centinaio di fratelli cattolici e fratelli di varie origini protestanti, provenienti da trenta Paesi. Settimana dopo settimana, gli incontri internazionali riuniscono decine di migliaia di giovani provenienti da ogni continente.
