Chapelle Notre Dame de Pitié – Saint-Rémy-de-Provence

Bâtie d'après les archives, vers 1525 sur une seule nef, la chapelle Notre Dame de Pitié fut agrandie de deux nefs latérales entre 1650 et 1670, puis d'un porche en 1685. Elle fut vendue comme bien national en 1802 puis passa de mains en mains jusqu'en 1919 où elle revint à la paroisse puis au diocèse. En 1977 se crée l'association des "Amis de Notre Dame de Pitié" qui commence la remise en état. En 1985 , l'association Mario Prassinos, locataire des lieux, poursuit la restauration de la chapelle et l'aménage pour la présentation de différentes expositions temporaires.

According to the archives, the Notre Dame de Pitié chapel was built around 1525 with a single nave. It was extended to include two side naves between 1650 and 1670, and a porch in 1685. It was sold as national property in 1802 and then passed from hand to hand until 1919, when it was returned to the parish and then to the diocese. In 1977, the "Friends of Notre Dame de Pitié" association was formed, and work began on restoring the church. In 1985, the Mario Prassinos Association, the tenant of the premises, continued the restoration of the chapel and fitted it out for the presentation of various temporary exhibitions.

Die Kapelle Notre Dame de Pitié wurde den Archiven zufolge um 1525 mit einem einzigen Schiff erbaut und zwischen 1650 und 1670 um zwei Seitenschiffe und 1685 um einen Vorbau erweitert. Sie wurde 1802 als nationales Gut verkauft und ging danach von Hand zu Hand, bis sie 1919 an die Pfarrei und später an die Diözese zurückging. 1977 wurde der Verein "Amis de Notre Dame de Pitié" (Freunde von Notre Dame de Pitié) gegründet, der mit der Instandsetzung begann. 1985 setzte der Verein Mario Prassinos, der die Räumlichkeiten mietete, die Restaurierung der Kapelle fort und richtete sie für verschiedene temporäre Ausstellungen ein.
