Abbaye d'Abondance – Abondance

Fondée au XIIème s. par des chanoines et occupée par des moines cisterciens dès le XVIIème s., l’Abbaye d’Abondance a été supprimée en 1761. Celle-ci dévoile la puissance d’une architecture gothique de montagne et recèle de fabuleux trésors artistiques.

Founded in the 12th century by canons and occupied by Cistercian monks from the 17th century, the Abbey of Abondance was abolished in 1761. It reveals the power of a gothic mountain architecture and conceals fabulous artistic treasures.

Die Abondance-Abtei wurde im 12. Jahrhundert von Kanonikern gegründet und ab dem 17. Jahrhundert von Zisterziensermönchen bewohnt. 1761 wurde sie aufgelöst. Diese enthüllt die Kraft der gotischen Architektur in den Bergen und birgt fabelhafte Kunstschätze.

De abdij van Abondance, die in de 12e eeuw werd gesticht door kanunniken en vanaf de 17e eeuw werd bewoond door cisterciënzer monniken, werd in 1761 opgeheven. Het onthult de kracht van de gotische bergarchitectuur en verbergt fabelachtige artistieke schatten.
