Abjat a son église paroissiale, placée sous le vocable et la protection de Saint-André, frère de Saint-Pierre, dont la fête est célébrée le 30 novembre. Elle aurait dépendu d’un prieuré dont les vestiges la jouxtent au nord. L’édifice, de construction originale, se compose de deux nefs accolées, à gauche une nef du XIIe siècle avec un beau portail en plein cintre doublée à droite au XVe siècle.

The building, of original construction, is composed of two adjoining naves, on the left a 12th century nave with a beautiful semi-circular portal doubled on the right in the 15th century.
