Plan d'eau du Gotha – Ancenis-Saint-Géréon

Au Xe siècle dans le bourg de Saint-Géréon, existait, à la place de la carrière, un monastère. Il fut détruit en l’an 1 000 puis devint un prieuré bénédictin vers 1 100. En subsistent les piles de granit du porche d’entrée et la porte tourière dans le mur situé entre l’église et la boulangerie. Ce prieuré fut détruit bien après la Révolution et la carrière ne fut ouverte que beaucoup plus tard. Aujourd’hui, l’étang du Gotha est un lieu ouvert à la pratique de la pêche. Les abords ont été aménagés avec des terrains de boules, permettant ainsi de passer une journée en famille ou entre amis.

In the 10th century, a monastery existed in the village of Saint-Géréon, on the site of the quarry. It was destroyed in the year 1000 and became a Benedictine priory around 1100. The granite pillars of the entrance porch and the tower door in the wall between the church and the bakery remain. This priory was destroyed well after the Revolution and the quarry was not opened until much later. Today, the Gotha pond is open for fishing. The area around the pond has been fitted out with bowling greens, making it possible to spend a day with family and friends.

Im 10. Jahrhundert existierte in der Ortschaft Saint-Géréon an der Stelle des Steinbruchs ein Kloster. Es wurde im Jahr 1000 zerstört und um 1100 in ein Benediktinerpriorat umgewandelt. Davon sind noch die Granitpfeiler des Eingangsportals und die Turmtür in der Mauer zwischen der Kirche und der Bäckerei erhalten. Das Priorat wurde lange nach der Revolution zerstört und der Steinbruch wurde erst viel später eröffnet. Heute ist der Étang du Gotha ein Ort, der für die Ausübung des Angelsports geöffnet ist. Die Umgebung wurde mit Bouleplätzen gestaltet, sodass man hier einen Tag mit der Familie oder Freunden verbringen kann.

El priorato fue destruido mucho después de la Revolución y la cantera no se abrió hasta mucho después. En la actualidad, el estanque de Gotha está abierto a la pesca. La zona que rodea el estanque se ha equipado con un campo de bolos, lo que permite pasar un día con la familia y los amigos.

Rimangono i pilastri di granito del portico d'ingresso e la porta della torre nel muro tra la chiesa e il forno. Il priorato fu distrutto molto tempo dopo la Rivoluzione e la cava fu aperta solo molto più tardi. Oggi lo stagno di Gotha è aperto alla pesca. L'area intorno al laghetto è stata attrezzata con un campo da bocce, che consente di trascorrere una giornata con la famiglia e gli amici.
