Du haut de sa colline, il domine le bourg de Vicq sur Breuilh. Le corps de bâtiment actuel fut érigé dans le premier quart du XVIe et achevé en 1515 par Jean de Salagnac, protonotaire du Saint Siège, certaines parties à caractère renaissance sont remarquables. Le Vieux Château est entouré par des douves, protégé par les anciens bâtiments d’exploitation agricoles, le château se dresse majestueusement au fond de la cour. From the top of its hill, it dominates the village of Vicq sur Breuilh. The current building was erected in the first quarter of the 16th century and completed in 1515 by Jean de Salagnac, prothonotary of the Holy See, with some remarkable Renaissance features. The Old Château is surrounded by a moat, protected by the old farm buildings, and stands majestically at the far end of the courtyard. Concerts and exhibitions are held here throughout the year.
