Chapelle Saint-Maudé – Vestiges – Plouray

Construit au 16ème siècle, l’édifice est tombé en ruine au début du 20ème siècle. En retrait de l’axe Plouray-Guémené-sur-Scorff, les vestiges de la chapelle de Saint Maudé laissent au promeneur un indice de sa prestance passée par la subsistance du mur pignon et du portail occidental à deux baies en anse de panier sous une voussure en arc brisé, comparable à ceux de l’église de Langonnet et La Trinité Langonnet. Il existe toujours les premières assises du mur sud et d’une porte. La fontaine, non datée, est située à 50 m au sud-ouest de la chapelle.

Built in the 16th century, the building fell into ruins at the beginning of the 20th century. Set back from the Plouray-Guémené-sur-Scorff axis, the remains of the chapel of Saint Maudé leave the walker with an indication of its past presence by the subsistence of the gable wall and the two-bay western portal in a basket-handle under a pointed arch arch arch, comparable to those of the church of Langonnet and La Trinité Langonnet. There are still the first foundations of the south wall and a doorway. The fountain, undated, is located 50 m south-west of the chapel.
