Statue Notre Dame d'Aurons

Pendant la deuxième guerre mondiale, elle échappe miraculeusement à l'incendie provoqué par les occupants allemands. Vendue à un antiquaire, elle est rachetée par les auronnais quelques années plus tard et scellée au rocher qui domine le village afin qu'elle veille sur ses habitants.

During the Second World War, it miraculously escaped the fire set by the German occupiers. Sold to an antique dealer, it was bought back by the people of Auron a few years later, and sealed to the rock overlooking the village to keep watch over its inhabitants.

Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs entging sie wie durch ein Wunder einem von den deutschen Besatzern verursachten Brand. Sie wurde an einen Antiquitätenhändler verkauft und einige Jahre später von den Einwohnern von Auronnais zurückgekauft.
