Site fortifié et tour de l'Abbaye de Watten – Watten

Situé sur les hauteurs de Watten, à 72 mètres d'altitude, les vestiges de l'enceinte fortifiée du 17è siècle ceinturent encore la tour de l’abbaye datant du XVe siècle et le moulin dit de "la Montagne". Ce site classé est ouvert lors de certaines journées et le 2ème week-end d’août pour la fête de l’abbaye (entrée 4,00€/adulte). Le bastion du moulin est librement accessible au public toute l’année, et offre de superbes panoramas sur la plaine maritime et l’Audomarois. Les autres bastions ne sont pas accessibles au public, mais sont visibles de l’extérieur. Une signalétique et des panneaux pédagogiques placés le long du Sentier de la Montagne (reliant la fortification à la ville) permettent aux visiteurs de comprendre l’histoire du site et du paysage.

Situated on the heights of Watten, at an altitude of 72 meters, the remains of the 17th-century fortified enclosure still encircle the 15th-century abbey tower and the mill known as "la Montagne". This listed site is open on certain days and on the 2nd weekend of August for the Abbey Festival (admission 4.00?/adult). The mill bastion is freely accessible to the public all year round, and offers superb panoramic views over the maritime plain and the Audomarois region. The other bastions are not open to the public, but are visible from the outside. Signposting and educational panels along the Sentier de la Montagne (linking the fortification to the town) help visitors understand the history of the site and landscape.

Auf den Anhöhen von Watten, in 72 m Höhe, befinden sich die Überreste der Festungsmauer aus dem 17. Jahrhundert, die den Abteiturm aus dem 15. Jahrhundert und die Mühle "La Montagne" umgibt. Diese denkmalgeschützte Stätte ist an bestimmten Tagen und am zweiten Augustwochenende während des Abteifestes geöffnet (Eintritt 4,00?/Erwachsener). Die Bastion der Mühle ist das ganze Jahr über für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich und bietet einen herrlichen Panoramablick auf die Seeebene und das Audomarois. Die anderen Bastionen sind nicht öffentlich zugänglich, können aber von außen besichtigt werden. Este lugar protegido está abierto algunos días y el segundo fin de semana de agosto con motivo de la Fiesta de la Abadía (entrada 4,00 euros/adulto). El bastión del molino es de libre acceso al público durante todo el año y ofrece magníficas vistas panorámicas sobre la llanura marítima y el Audomarois. Los demás baluartes no están abiertos al público, pero son visibles desde el exterior. La señalización y los paneles didácticos a lo largo del Sentier de la Montagne (camino que une la fortificación con la ciudad) ayudan a los visitantes a comprender la historia del lugar y del paisaje.

Il bastione del mulino è liberamente accessibile al pubblico tutto l'anno e offre una splendida vista panoramica sulla pianura marittima e sull'Audomarois.
