PORTAIL DE L'ÉGLISE SAINT-MARTIN – Pompierre

L’église Saint-Martin de Pompierre a été reconstruite au XIXème siècle mais le portail roman datant du premier édifice du XIIème siècle a été conservé. C’est le plus bel exemple de sculpture romane en Lorraine. En bon état de conservation, il témoigne de l’influence de la sculpture bourguignonne dans la région à cette période. Le tympan a comme thème l’Adoration des Mages au centre et le Massacre des Innocents dans la partie supérieure. Le linteau, quant à lui, représente l’entrée de Jésus dans Jérusalem.

The church of Saint-Martin de Pompierre was rebuilt in the 19th century but the Romanesque portal dating from the first building of the 12th century has been preserved. It is the most beautiful example of Romanesque sculpture in Lorraine. In a good state of conservation, it bears witness to the influence of Burgundian sculpture in the region at that time. The tympanum has as its theme the Adoration of the Magi in the centre and the Massacre of the Innocents in the upper part. The lintel, for its part, represents the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.

Die Kirche Saint-Martin de Pompierre wurde im 19. Jahrhundert umgebaut, doch das romanische Portal aus dem ersten Gebäude aus dem 12. Es ist das schönste Beispiel für romanische Skulpturen in Lothringen. Es ist gut erhalten und zeugt vom Einfluss der burgundischen Bildhauerei in der Region zu dieser Zeit. Das Tympanon thematisiert die Anbetung der Könige in der Mitte und das Massaker an den Unschuldigen im oberen Teil. Der Sturz hingegen stellt den Einzug Jesu in Jerusalem dar.

De kerk Saint-Martin de Pompierre werd in de 19e eeuw herbouwd, maar het romaanse portaal uit het eerste gebouw in de 12e eeuw is bewaard gebleven. Het is het mooiste voorbeeld van Romaanse beeldhouwkunst in Lotharingen. In goede staat van bewaring getuigt het van de invloed van de Bourgondische beeldhouwkunst in de regio in die tijd. Het timpaan heeft de Aanbidding der Wijzen in het midden en de Kindermoord in het bovenste gedeelte. De bovendorpel stelt de intocht van Jezus in Jeruzalem voor.

La iglesia de Saint-Martin de Pompierre fue reconstruida en el siglo XIX, pero se ha conservado la portada románica del primer edificio del siglo XII. Es el mejor ejemplo de escultura románica de Lorena. En buen estado de conservación, atestigua la influencia de la escultura borgoñona en la región en aquella época. El tímpano tiene la Adoración de los Reyes Magos en el centro y la Masacre de los Inocentes en la parte superior. El dintel representa la entrada de Jesús en Jerusalén.

La chiesa di Saint-Martin de Pompierre è stata ricostruita nel XIX secolo, ma è stato conservato il portale romanico della prima costruzione del XII secolo. È il più bell'esempio di scultura romanica in Lorena. In buono stato di conservazione, testimonia l'influenza della scultura borgognona nella regione in quel periodo. Il timpano presenta l'Adorazione dei Magi al centro e la Strage degli Innocenti nella parte superiore. L'architrave raffigura l'ingresso di Gesù a Gerusalemme.
