Place Raymond 1er de Baux

Aménagée en 2014, la place Raymond 1er de Baux a été inaugurée en septembre 2016 par Michel Mille à l'occasion de la célébration des 900 ans du château. Cette place est un lieu chargé d'histoire. En effet, le Comte de Provence confisqua les possessions des premiers Seigneurs du village à l'origine de la construction du château primitif il les céda aux Seigneurs des Baux qui arrivèrent à Lançon en 1116. En 1117, Lançon devint la propriété de Raymond de Baux qui porta un intérêt tout particulier au village en raison de sa position stratégique. Il construisit alors son château sur les bases de l'ancien. Sur cette jolie place trône une table d'orientation de laquelle une vue imprenable sur la plaine de Salon et les Alpilles nous est offerte ainsi qu'un aperçu de l'évolution de notre belle commune.

Developed in 2014, Place Raymond 1er de Baux was inaugurated in September 2016 by Michel Mille on the occasion of the celebration of the castle's 900th anniversary. This square is a place steeped in history. Indeed, the Count of Provence confiscated the possessions of the first Lords of the village at the origin of the construction of the primitive castle and gave them to the Lords of Baux who arrived in Lançon in 1116. In 1117, Lançon became the property of Raymond de Baux who took a particular interest in the village because of its strategic position. He then built his castle on the foundations of the old one. On this pretty square stands an orientation table from which a breathtaking view of the plain of Salon and the Alpilles is offered to us as well as a glimpse of the evolution of our beautiful town.

Der 2014 angelegte Platz Raymond 1er de Baux wurde im September 2016 von Michel Mille anlässlich der Feierlichkeiten zum 900-jährigen Bestehen des Schlosses eingeweiht. Dieser Platz ist ein geschichtsträchtiger Ort. Der Graf der Provence konfiszierte die Besitztümer der ersten Herren des Dorfes, die das ursprüngliche Schloss errichtet hatten, und übergab sie den Herren von Les Baux, die 1116 nach Lançon kamen. Im Jahr 1117 ging Lançon in den Besitz von Raymond de Baux über, der aufgrund seiner strategischen Lage ein besonderes Interesse an dem Dorf hatte. Er baute sein Schloss auf den Grundmauern des alten Schlosses. Auf diesem hübschen Platz thront ein Orientierungstisch, von dem aus man einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Ebene von Salon und die Alpilles hat und einen Überblick über die Entwicklung unserer schönen Gemeinde erhält.

Het in 2014 ontwikkelde Place Raymond 1er de Baux werd in september 2016 ingehuldigd door Michel Mille ter gelegenheid van de 900e verjaardag van het kasteel. Dit plein heeft een rijke geschiedenis. De graaf van de Provence confisqueerde namelijk de bezittingen van de eerste Heren van het dorp die het primitieve kasteel hadden gebouwd en gaf ze aan de Heren van Baux die in 1116 in Lançon aankwamen. In 1117 werd Lançon eigendom van Raymond de Baux, die bijzondere belangstelling had voor het dorp vanwege zijn strategische ligging. Hij bouwde zijn kasteel op de fundamenten van het oude. Op dit mooie plein staat een oriëntatietafel, van waaruit we kunnen genieten van een adembenemend uitzicht op de vlakte van Salon en de Alpilles, en een overzicht van de evolutie van ons mooie dorp.

En efecto, el conde de Provenza confiscó las posesiones de los primeros señores del pueblo que habían construido el primitivo castillo y las entregó a los señores de Baux que llegaron a Lançon en 1116. En 1117, Lançon pasó a ser propiedad de Raimundo de Baux, que se interesó especialmente por el pueblo debido a su posición estratégica. Construyó su castillo sobre los cimientos del antiguo. En esta bonita plaza se encuentra una mesa de orientación, desde la que podemos disfrutar de una impresionante vista de la llanura de Salon y de los Alpilles, así como de una visión general de la evolución de nuestro hermoso pueblo.
