A deux pas du port, au coeur de la ville, celui-ci est logé dans un ancien presbytère du début du XVII. Le bâtiment est sévère, mais l'intérieur, tout de charme et d'équilibre, séduit dés l'entrée. Les expositions permanentes ou temporaires s'y succèdent. Noël y est fêté régulièrement de façon particulière. Ses collections de peintures (la plus ancienne toile remonte à 1601), ses vestiges romains et ses amphores, proposent une diversité propre à séduire les visiteurs.
