Musée du cristal de Bayel et son atelier du verre – Bayel

Le Musée du Cristal de Bayel permet de découvrir l’histoire du verre et du Cristal de l’Antiquité à nos jours. Conçu comme un écomusée, ce sont les habitants de Bayel qui lui ont donné son âme. Des maquettes réalisées par des verriers de la Cristallerie permettent de découvrir que les outils et les techniques sont restés identiques à ceux de l’Encyclopédie de Diderot et d’Alambert et des créations exceptionnelles et des documents anciens vous feront découvrir l’histoire de cette étonnante “Cité du Cristal”. Une vidéo tournée dans les ateliers de la Cristallerie, de 8 minutes illustre toutes les étapes de fabrication : soufflage à la bouche, taille à la main, gravure au sable, satinage, dorure, émaillage,… Le Musée possède également un fond bibliothécaire sur le cristal et tout ce qui l’entoure (consultable uniquement sur place). Pour la sauvegarde de notre patrimoine verrier bayellois, le Musée du Cristal a créé, en complément, l’Atelier du Verre, où des démonstrations de soufflage de verre sont réalisées par un maître-verrier bayellois, Manolo, et son jeune apprenti. Les démonstrations de soufflage ont lieu tous les après-midi à 14h30 et 16h.

The Bayel Crystal Museum discover the history of glass and crystal from antiquity to the present day. Designed as an Eco-Museum, the inhabitants of Bayel gave it their soul. Models made by the Cristallerie glassmakers reveal that the tools and techniques have remained identic to those of Diderot and Alambert’s Encyclopedia, with exceptional creations and ancient documents to discover the history of this amazing “City of Crystal”. An 8 minute video in the Crystal‘s workshop illustrates all stages of the manufacture; hand blowing, trimming, engraving, satin, gilding, enameling…. The Museum also has a library on the crystal and all that surrounds it (only available on site). In 2019 we celebrate the 25th anniversary of our museum, and to honour this occasion we invite you to our exhibition entitled: “Baylois life, as it was before…” Several themes are discussed, such as the social life, various associations … while keeping the manufacture as the central core of the life of the Baylois. This new ethonological part, dedicated to the Bayel inhabitants, is now completed by a documentary entitled “A Crystal Factory in Champagne” and directed by Michèle Paintault (producer; Ofrateme 1976 – Canopé Network). This film will show you the different workshops of the Bayel Cristallerie in 1975. Lovely memories in the period when the manufacture was in full swing. To safeguard our heritage, the Bayellois know-how, the Crystal Museum has set up glass blowing demonstrations, in addition to visiting the rooms and videos. Im Kristallmuseum von Bayel kann man die Geschichte des Glases und des Kristalls von der Antike bis heute entdecken. Als Ökomuseum konzipiert, sind es die Einwohner von Bayel, die dem Museum seine Seele verliehen haben. Anhand von Modellen, die von den Glasmachern der Kristallfabrik angefertigt wurden, können Sie entdecken, dass die Werkzeuge und Techniken mit denen der Enzyklopädie von Diderot und Alambert identisch sind. Ein 8-minütiges Video, das in den Werkstätten der Kristallfabrik gedreht wurde, zeigt alle Etappen der Herstellung: Mundblasen, Handschliff, Sandgravur, Satinieren, Vergolden, Emaillieren, etc Das Museum verfügt außerdem über einen Bibliotheksbestand zum Thema Kristall und alles, was damit zusammenhängt (nur vor Ort einsehbar). Um das Erbe der Glasbläserei in Bayern zu bewahren, hat das Kristallmuseum zusätzlich das Atelier du Verre eingerichtet, in dem der Glasbläsermeister Manolo und sein junger Lehrling Glasblasen vorführen. Die Glasbläservorführungen finden jeden Nachmittag um 14:30 und 16:00 Uhr statt.

Het Musée du Cristal de Bayel (kristalmuseum van Bayel) verkent de geschiedenis van glas en kristal van de oudheid tot nu. Het is ontworpen als een eco-museum, maar het zijn de mensen van Bayel die het zijn ziel hebben gegeven. Modellen gemaakt door de glasblazers van de Cristallerie laten zien dat de gebruikte gereedschappen en technieken identiek zijn gebleven aan die uit de Encyclopédie van Diderot en d'Alambert, terwijl uitzonderlijke creaties en oude documenten de geschiedenis van deze verbazingwekkende "Kristalstad" onthullen. Een 8 minuten durende video, opgenomen in de ateliers van de Cristallerie, illustreert alle productiefasen: mondblazen, met de hand snijden, zandgraveren, satineren, vergulden, emailleren? Het museum heeft ook een bibliotheekcollectie over kristal en alles wat daarmee te maken heeft (die alleen ter plekke kan worden geraadpleegd). Om het glasblazerfgoed van Bayell te helpen bewaren, heeft het Musée du Cristal ook het Atelier du Verre opgezet, waar demonstraties glasblazen worden gegeven door Bayell meester-glasblazer Manolo en zijn jonge leerling. Elke middag om 14.30 en 16.00 uur vinden er glasblaasdemonstraties plaats.

El Museo del Cristal de Bayel explora la historia del vidrio y el cristal desde la Antigüedad hasta nuestros días. Concebido como un ecomuseo, es el pueblo de Bayel quien le ha dado su alma. Las maquetas realizadas por los vidrieros de la Cristallerie demuestran que las herramientas y técnicas utilizadas han permanecido idénticas a las de la Encyclopédie de Diderot y d'Alambert, mientras que creaciones excepcionales y documentos antiguos revelan la historia de esta sorprendente "Ciudad del Cristal". Un vídeo de 8 minutos rodado en los talleres de la Cristallerie ilustra todas las etapas de la producción: soplado a boca, tallado a mano, grabado en arena, satinado, dorado, esmaltado.. El Museo también cuenta con una colección de biblioteca sobre el cristal y todo lo que le rodea (que sólo puede consultarse in situ). Para contribuir a preservar el patrimonio vidriero de Bayell, el Museo del Cristal también ha creado el Atelier du Verre, donde el maestro vidriero Manolo y su joven aprendiz realizan demostraciones de soplado de vidrio. Las demostraciones de soplado de vidrio tienen lugar todas las tardes a las 14:30 y 16:00 horas.

Il Musée du Cristal de Bayel (Museo del Cristallo di Bayel) esplora la storia del vetro e del cristallo dall'antichità ai giorni nostri. Progettato come un eco-museo, è la gente di Bayel che gli ha dato l'anima. I modelli realizzati dai vetrai della Cristallerie dimostrano che gli strumenti e le tecniche utilizzate sono rimasti identici a quelli dell'Encyclopédie di Diderot e d'Alambert, mentre creazioni eccezionali e documenti antichi rivelano la storia di questa sorprendente "Città del cristallo". Un video di 8 minuti girato nei laboratori della Cristallerie illustra tutte le fasi della produzione: soffiatura a bocca, taglio a mano, incisione a sabbia, satinatura, doratura, smaltatura? Il Museo dispone anche di una biblioteca sul cristallo e su tutto ciò che lo circonda (consultabile solo in loco). Per contribuire a preservare il patrimonio vetrario di Bayell, il Musée du Cristal ha allestito anche l'Atelier du Verre, dove si tengono dimostrazioni di soffiatura da parte del maestro vetraio di Bayell Manolo e del suo giovane apprendista. Le dimostrazioni di soffiatura del vetro si svolgono ogni pomeriggio alle 14.30 e alle 16.00.
