MUSÉE DES ARTS ET MÉTIERS DU LIVRE – Montolieu

Situé au cœur du village du livre, le Musée retrace l'histoire du livre, depuis la naissance de l'écriture et l'histoire de ses supports, jusqu'à la formidable aventure de la typographie et de l'imprimerie. Visites guidées, stages et ateliers permettent de s'initier aux arts graphiques et métiers du livre avec la volonté de transmettre un savoir-faire de qualité grâce à l'accompagnement des artisans du livre. Sur demande ou à dates programmées en périodes de vacances scolaires. (Typographie, calligraphie, enluminure, caricature, illustration, gravure, reliure…). Une exposition permanente présente le fonds de bibliographie François Bernouard, poète, typographe, imprimeur. Fonds techniques, ateliers. Des expositions temporaires sont renouvelées chaque année.

Located in the heart of the book village, the Museum traces the history of the book, from the birth of writing and the history of its media, to the amazing adventure of typography and printing. Das im Herzen des Buchdorfes gelegene Museum zeigt die Geschichte des Buches, von der Entstehung der Schrift und der Geschichte ihrer Träger bis hin zum gewaltigen Abenteuer der Typografie und der Druckerei. Führungen, Praktika und Workshops bieten die Möglichkeit, sich mit den grafischen Künsten und dem Buchhandwerk vertraut zu machen, wobei dank der Begleitung von Buchhandwerkern ein hochwertiges Know-how weitergegeben werden soll. Auf Anfrage oder zu geplanten Terminen in den Schulferien. (Typografie, Kalligrafie, Illumination, Karikatur, Illustration, Gravur, Buchbinderei usw.). Eine Dauerausstellung zeigt die Bibliografie François Bernouard, Dichter, Typograf und Drucker. Technische Fonds, Werkstätten. Temporäre Ausstellungen werden jedes Jahr erneuert.
