Musée d'Art et d'Archéologie – Senlis

Situé dans l'ancien palais épiscopal, le musée d'Art et d'Archéologie abrite dans ses caves voûtées un ensemble remarquable d'ex-voto, les vestiges d'un habitat gallo-romain et du rempart du IIIème siècle. Au rez-de-chaussée le musée vous fait découvrir ses collections archéologiques. Le visiteur n'est pas au bout de ses découvertes : la salle gothique renferme des sculptures du Moyen-Age et l'étage, lui, met la lumière sur des peintures du XVIème au XXème siècle. Celui-ci est séparé en deux pôles importants, l'un consacré à Thomas Couture (peintre d'histoire du XIXème siècle) et le second retrace l'univers autour de Séraphine de Senlis (peintre de l'art naïf).

Located in the former episcopal palace, the museum of Art and Archaeology shelters in its vaulted cellars a remarkable set of ex-votos, the vestiges of a Gallo-Roman habitat and the rampart of the 3rd century. On the first floor, the museum presents its archaeological collections. The visitor is not at the end of his discoveries: the gothic room contains sculptures from the Middle Ages and the first floor highlights paintings from the 16th to the 20th century. The latter is separated into two important sections, one devoted to Thomas Couture (a 19th century history painter) and the other to Séraphine de Senlis (a painter of naive art).

Das Kunst- und Archäologiemuseum befindet sich im ehemaligen Bischofspalast und beherbergt in seinen Kellergewölben eine bemerkenswerte Sammlung von Votivgaben, die Überreste einer gallo-römischen Siedlung und die Stadtmauer aus dem 3. Im Erdgeschoss zeigt Ihnen das Museum seine archäologischen Sammlungen. Der gotische Saal beherbergt Skulpturen aus dem Mittelalter, während das Obergeschoss Gemälde aus dem 16. bis 20. En la planta baja, el museo presenta sus colecciones arqueológicas. La sala gótica contiene esculturas de la Edad Media y en la primera planta hay pinturas de los siglos XVI al XX. Esta última está dividida en dos importantes secciones, una dedicada a Thomas Couture (pintor de historia del siglo XIX) y la otra a Séraphine de Senlis (pintora de arte naif).

Al piano terra, il museo presenta le sue collezioni archeologiche. La sala gotica contiene sculture del Medioevo, mentre al primo piano sono esposti dipinti dal XVI al XX secolo.
