Moulin à eau de Chatillon – Ondreville-sur-Essonne

L’existence de ce moulin est attestée depuis le XVIIIe siècle. En effet, le bulletin de la Société Archéologique de Puiseaux révèle que « le moulin de Châtillon est signalé par l’abbé Grand comme appartenant aux moines de Saint Victor. Un acte de 1728 le montre appartenant au comte de Rocheplatte […] » Le premier meunier de ce moulin s’appelle Jean Mercier. Il posséda le moulin durant toute la deuxième moitié du XVIIIe siècle. Le moulin est constitué de quatre étages. Ce moulin fait l’objet de travaux financés par l’Association de Sauvegarde et des Amis du Moulin d’Eau de Châtillon (ASAMEC) afin de le sécuriser pour pouvoir y organiser des visites.

The existence of this mill is attested since the 18th century. A deed of 1728 shows it belonging to the Count of Rocheplatte […] "The first miller of this mill is called Jean Mercier. He owned the mill throughout the second half of the 18th century. The mill has four floors. This mill is the subject of work financed by the Association of Safeguarding and Friends of the Water Mill of Châtillon (ASAMEC) in order to secure it for visits.
