L'hôpital de Louhans-Châteaurenaud présente un ensemble mobilier et architectural d'une rare homogénéité et d'une qualité exceptionnelle. Une cour d'honneur permet d'accéder aux salles des malades dont le mobilier a été conservé. Ce lieu a fonctionné en l'état jusqu'à 1977. L'apothicairerie constitue le joyau de l'Hôtel-Dieu. La collection de faïences résume l'histoire du pot à pharmacie depuis le modèle hispano-mauresque de la fin du XVème siècle (bruns et bleus) jusqu'au Nevers (bleus vifs). Ses faïenceries et ses verres soufflés contiennent encore des produits d'origine animale, minérale et végétale. Un ensemble unique en Europe.

The hospital at Louhans-Châteaurenaud is home to a collection of furnishings and architecture of rare homogeneity and exceptional quality. A main courtyard provides access to the patients' wards, whose furnishings have been preserved. The building remained in use until 1977. The apothecary is the jewel in the crown of the Hôtel-Dieu. The earthenware collection sums up the history of the apothecary pot, from the Hispano-Moorish model of the late 15th century (brown and blue) to the Nevers model (bright blue). Its earthenware and blown glass still contain products of animal, mineral and plant origin. A unique collection in Europe.

Über einen Ehrenhof gelangt man in die Krankensäle, deren Mobiliar erhalten geblieben ist. Diese Räumlichkeiten wurden bis 1977 unverändert genutzt. Die Apotheke ist das Schmuckstück des Hôtel-Dieu. Die Fayencesammlung fasst die Geschichte des Apothekertopfes vom spanisch-maurischen Modell des späten 15. Jahrhunderts (braun und blau) bis zum Nevers (kräftiges Blau) zusammen. Seine Fayencen und mundgeblasenen Gläser enthalten noch immer Produkte tierischen, mineralischen und pflanzlichen Ursprungs. Ein in Europa einzigartiges Ensemble.
