Hohwiller – Soultz-sous-Forêts

Hohwiller est un petit village remarquable qui saura vous charmer par ses belles maisons à colombages datant pour la plupart du XVIIIème s. En période estivale, il est agréable de s’y promener et de noter le soin accorder au fleurissement. La commune est récompensée de 4 fleurs par le label national « villes et villages fleuris ». En remontant le village, direction Soultz-sous-Forêts, une halte à l’église Saint-Jean-Baptiste est recommandée. Cet édifice est un simultaneum, il sert à deux cultes : protestant et catholique. À l’intérieur, admirez ces fresques du XVème s. peintes par un artiste inconnu. L’œuvre la plus importante représente un Moulin Eucharistique. Il n'existe plus que treize églises au monde possédant un tel Moulin. Onze d'entre elles se trouvent en Allemagne, les deux autres dans le Nord de l'Alsace, sur le territoire de l’Alsace Verte.

On the way up through the village towards Soultz-sous-Forêts, we recommend a stop at the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church. This building is a simultaneum, serving both Protestant and Catholic faiths. Inside, admire the 15th-century frescoes painted by an unknown artist. The most important work depicts a Eucharistic Mill. There are now only thirteen churches in the world with such a mill. Eleven of them are in Germany, the other two in northern Alsace, in the Alsace Verte region.

Elf davon befinden sich in Deutschland, die anderen beiden im Nordelsass, im Gebiet des Grünen Elsass.

Op weg door het dorp richting Soultz-sous-Forêts raden we je aan even te stoppen bij de kerk Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Dit gebouw is een simultaneum dat zowel het protestantse als het katholieke geloof bedient. Bewonder binnen de 15e-eeuwse fresco's die door een onbekende kunstenaar zijn geschilderd. Het belangrijkste werk stelt een eucharistische molen voor. Er zijn nu slechts dertien kerken in de wereld met zo'n molen. Elf daarvan staan in Duitsland, de andere twee in het noorden van de Elzas, in de regio Alsace Verte.

Subiendo por el pueblo en dirección a Soultz-sous-Forêts, le recomendamos que se detenga en la iglesia Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Este edificio es un simultáneo, que sirve tanto a la fe protestante como a la católica. En su interior, admire los frescos del siglo XV pintados por un artista desconocido. La obra más importante representa un molino eucarístico. En la actualidad sólo hay trece iglesias en el mundo con un molino de este tipo. Salendo attraverso il villaggio verso Soultz-sous-Forêts, consigliamo una sosta alla chiesa di Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Questo edificio è un simultaneum, che serve sia la fede protestante che quella cattolica. All'interno si possono ammirare gli affreschi del XV secolo realizzati da un artista sconosciuto. L'opera più importante raffigura un mulino eucaristico. Attualmente esistono solo tredici chiese al mondo con un mulino di questo tipo. Undici di esse si trovano in Germania, le altre due nel nord dell'Alsazia, nella regione dell'Alsazia Verte.
