Présentation de l'artiste et de sa démarche : Mathieu Ferry aime les formes qui prennent corps et inversement, et ce n’est qu’à travers l’art qu’il peut satisfaire sa passion. C’est ainsi que la sculpture s’est imposée à lui. Comme le poète qui recherche dans le langage le poème qui s’y cache, en enlevant les mots dont il n’a pas besoin, Mathieu Ferry débarrasse dans le bois les copeaux qui dissimulent l’objet de sa pensée afin de créer une œuvre.

Presentation of the artist and his approach: Mathieu Ferry loves forms that take shape and vice versa, and it's only through art that he can satisfy his passion. That's how sculpture came to him. Like the poet who searches language for the poem it hides, removing the words he doesn?t need, Mathieu Ferry removes the shavings in the wood that conceal the object of his thought in order to create a work of art.

Vorstellung des Künstlers und seiner Vorgehensweise : Mathieu Ferry liebt Formen, die einen Körper annehmen und umgekehrt, und nur durch die Kunst kann er seine Leidenschaft befriedigen. So hat sich ihm die Bildhauerei aufgedrängt. Wie der Dichter, der in der Sprache nach dem Gedicht sucht, das sich darin verbirgt, indem er die Worte entfernt, die er nicht braucht, räumt Mathieu Ferry die Späne aus dem Holz, die das Objekt seiner Gedanken verbergen, um ein Kunstwerk zu schaffen.

Como el poeta que busca en el lenguaje el poema que esconde, retirando las palabras que no necesita, Mathieu Ferry retira las virutas de la madera que ocultan el objeto de su pensamiento para crear una obra de arte.
