Eglise Sainte-Valérie – Pontcharraud

En 1179, les vicomtes d'Aubusson firent don de la terre de Pontcharral au monastère de Blessac. Une chapelle comprenant une nef à trois travées a été construite au 14e siècle. La cure fut une annexe de l'abbaye de Chambon de 1564 à la Révolution. D'importantes restaurations et transformations furent effectuées au 19e siècle (deux chapelles, sacristie, peintures). L'église est constituée d'une nef dont la première travée sert de choeur. Clocher-mur percé de trois arcades en plein cintre abritant les cloches, contrebuté de deux contreforts dont l'un renferme un escalier. IMH en 1987

In 1179, the Viscounts of Aubusson donated the land of Pontcharral to the monastery of Blessac. A chapel with a three-bay nave was built in the 14th century. From 1564 to the French Revolution, the parish church was an annex of the Chambon abbey. Extensive restoration and alterations were carried out in the 19th century (two chapels, sacristy, paintings). The church comprises a nave, the first bay of which serves as the choir. The bell tower is pierced by three semicircular arches housing the bells, and buttressed by two buttresses, one of which contains a staircase. IMH in 1987

Im Jahr 1179 schenkten die Vicomtes d'Aubusson das Land Pontcharral dem Kloster Blessac. Im 14. Jahrhundert wurde eine Kapelle mit einem Schiff mit drei Jochen errichtet.
