Eglise Saint-Saturnin – Blaignac

Si l'église a été bâtie au XIIème siècle, la nef et le choeur ont été reconstruits à la fin du XVIIIème ou au début du XIXème siècle. Le portail, remarquable, est orné de chapiteaux historiés. Une importante campagne de restauration a été entreprise en 1995, au cours de laquelle le plafond a été notamment enlevé pour laisser la charpente apparente. Portail et sculptures Cl. M.H. 1907.

If the church was built in the 12th century, the nave and the choir were rebuilt at the end of the 18th or the beginning of the 19th century. The portal, remarkable, is decorated with historiated capitals. A major restoration campaign was undertaken in 1995, during which the ceiling was notably removed to leave the framework visible.
