Eglise Saint-Pierre – Fossès-et-Baleyssac

A l'origine, cette église romane se composait d'une nef très courte, soutenue au sud et au nord par un contrefort très large mais peu saillant. La nef formait la base d'une croix dont les bras dessinaient trois absides arrondies. Détériorée au cours des guerres de religions, l'église est en partie reconstruite au XVIème siècle. Une nouvelle façade est élevée, surmontée d'un clocher-pignon à trois baies, et les deux transepts, auparavant arrondis, reçoivent une forme carrée. L'église est lambrissée. L'abside centrale est voûtée. De l'époque romane, la nef a conservé les fenêtres, étroites de l'extérieur et dotées d'un large ébrasement intérieur recouvert d'une suite de consoles. L'église est inscrite à l'inventaire supplémentaire des Monuments Historiques.

Originally, this Romanesque church consisted of a very short nave, supported to the south and north by a very wide but not very protruding buttress. The nave formed the base of a cross with three rounded apses on its arms. Deteriorated during the wars of religion, the church was partly rebuilt in the 16th century. A new facade was erected, topped by a three-bay gable-tower, and the two transepts, previously rounded, were given a square shape. The church is panelled. The central apse is vaulted. From the Romanesque period, the nave has preserved the windows, narrow on the outside and with a wide interior spandrel covered with a series of brackets. The church is listed in the supplementary inventory of Historical Monuments.

Ursprünglich bestand diese romanische Kirche aus einem sehr kurzen Kirchenschiff, das im Süden und Norden von einem sehr breiten, aber wenig vorspringenden Strebepfeiler gestützt wurde. Das Kirchenschiff bildete die Basis eines Kreuzes, dessen Arme drei abgerundete Apsiden bildeten. Die während der Religionskriege beschädigte Kirche wurde im 16. Jahrhundert teilweise wieder aufgebaut. Es wurde eine neue Fassade mit einem Glockenturm mit drei Fenstern errichtet und die beiden Querschiffe, die zuvor abgerundet waren, erhielten eine quadratische Form. Die Kirche ist getäfelt. Die zentrale Apsis ist gewölbt. Aus der romanischen Zeit sind im Kirchenschiff die Fenster erhalten geblieben, die von außen schmal sind und innen eine breite, mit einer Reihe von Konsolen verkleidete Fensteröffnung haben. Die Kirche ist im Zusatzinventar der historischen Denkmäler eingetragen.

Oorspronkelijk bestond deze romaanse kerk uit een zeer kort schip, aan de zuid- en noordzijde ondersteund door een zeer brede, maar weinig opvallende steunbeer. Het schip vormde de basis van een kruis waarvan de armen drie ronde apsissen vormden. De kerk werd beschadigd tijdens de godsdienstoorlogen en werd gedeeltelijk herbouwd in de 16e eeuw. Er werd een nieuwe gevel gebouwd, met daarop een toren met drie traveeën, en de twee transepten, die voorheen rond waren, kregen een vierkante vorm. De kerk is betimmerd. De centrale apsis is gewelfd. Het schip heeft zijn romaanse ramen behouden, die aan de buitenkant smal zijn en aan de binnenkant een brede spleet hebben, bedekt met een reeks consoles. De kerk is opgenomen in de aanvullende inventaris van historische monumenten.

Originalmente, esta iglesia románica constaba de una nave muy corta, sostenida en los lados sur y norte por un contrafuerte muy ancho pero poco prominente. La nave formaba la base de una cruz cuyos brazos formaban tres ábsides redondeados. La iglesia sufrió daños durante las Guerras de Religión y fue reconstruida en parte en el siglo XVI. Se construyó una nueva fachada, rematada por una torre de tres tramos a dos aguas, y se dio forma cuadrada a los dos transeptos, que antes eran redondos. La iglesia tiene paneles. El ábside central está abovedado. La nave ha conservado sus ventanas románicas, estrechas en el exterior y con un amplio vano interior cubierto por una serie de ménsulas. La iglesia está incluida en el inventario suplementario de monumentos históricos.

In origine, questa chiesa romanica consisteva in una navata molto breve, sostenuta sui lati sud e nord da un contrafforte molto ampio ma non molto prominente. La navata centrale formava la base di una croce i cui bracci formavano tre absidi arrotondate. La chiesa fu danneggiata durante le guerre di religione e fu parzialmente ricostruita nel XVI secolo. Fu costruita una nuova facciata, sormontata da una torre a timpano a tre campate, e i due transetti, che prima erano arrotondati, assunsero una forma quadrata. La chiesa è rivestita di pannelli. L'abside centrale è a volta. La navata centrale ha conservato le finestre romaniche, strette all'esterno e con un'ampia strombatura interna coperta da una serie di mensole. La chiesa è inserita nell'inventario supplementare dei monumenti storici.
