Eglise Saint-Médard de Saint-Médard-d'Eyrans – Saint-Médard-d'Eyrans

La commune se siutant en bord de Garonne, l’église romane primitive n’a pu rester sur l’emplacement prévu à cause des inondations. Elle fut transportée pierre par pierre en 1600 et reconstruite à l'emplacement actuel, sur le tertre où se trouvait le cimetière mérovingien. Elle arbore un clocher mur avec 2 cloches apparentes, ce qui est rare.

As the commune sits on the banks of the Garonne, the primitive Romanesque church could not remain in its original location because of the floods. It was transported stone by stone in 1600 and rebuilt on the present site, on the mound where the Merovingian cemetery was located. It has a walled bell tower with 2 bells, which is rare.

Da die Gemeinde am Ufer der Garonne liegt, konnte die ursprüngliche romanische Kirche wegen der Überschwemmungen nicht an ihrem vorgesehenen Standort bleiben. Im Jahr 1600 wurde sie Stein für Stein abtransportiert und an ihrem heutigen Standort auf dem Hügel, auf dem sich der merowingische Friedhof befand, wieder aufgebaut. Die Kirche besitzt einen gemauerten Glockenturm mit zwei sichtbaren Glocken, was sehr selten ist.

Omdat het dorp aan de oevers van de Garonne ligt, kon de oorspronkelijke Romaanse kerk niet op haar oorspronkelijke plaats blijven staan vanwege overstromingen.
