ÉGLISE SAINT-LOUP DE BRAINVILLE-SUR-MEUSE – Brainville-sur-Meuse

L’église Saint-Loup présente une nef de 4 travées et un choeur à chevet plat tout deux du 13e siècle. Comme l’indique l’inscription sur la table d'autel, la chapelle latérale sud fut bâtie en 1521. L’édifice fut restauré entre 1994 et 2000, mais conserve ça et là des vestiges d'un ancien édifice roman.

Saint-Loup church has a 4-bay nave and a flat-chest choir, both dating from the 13th century. As the inscription on the altar table indicates, the south side chapel was built in 1521. The building was restored between 1994 and 2000, but still retains some vestiges of an earlier Romanesque edifice.

Die Kirche Saint-Loup hat ein vierjochiges Kirchenschiff und einen Chor mit flachem Kopfende, die beide aus dem 13. Wie aus der Inschrift auf dem Altartisch hervorgeht, wurde die südliche Seitenkapelle 1521 erbaut. Das Gebäude wurde zwischen 1994 und 2000 restauriert, weist aber hier und da noch Überreste eines früheren romanischen Gebäudes auf.

De kerk van Saint-Loup heeft een schip met 4 traveeën en een koor met een plat chevet, beide daterend uit de 13e eeuw. Zoals de inscriptie op de altaartafel aangeeft, werd de zuidelijke zijkapel gebouwd in 1521. Het gebouw werd gerestaureerd tussen 1994 en 2000, maar hier en daar zijn overblijfselen te zien van een eerder Romaans gebouw.

El edificio fue restaurado entre 1994 y 2000, pero aquí y allá quedan restos de un edificio románico anterior.
