CHATEAU DE MONTIGNY – Villeneuve-en-Perseigne

Construit vers 1730, le château de Montigny est une bonne illustration du style classique avec un corps central et deux ailes. Autour du château se trouve une ancienne chapelle avec un presbytère attenant et un pigeonnier. A la fin du XIXè S. fut construit un haras toujours en activité de nos jours. Le Haras est alimenté en eau par un forage de 100 m de profondeur et une pompe actionnée par un moteur monocylindre fonctionnant au gazogène.

Built around 1730, the Château de Montigny is a good illustration of the classical style with a central body and two wings. Around the castle is a former chapel with an adjoining presbytery and a dovecote. At the end of the 19th century, a stud farm was built and is still in operation today. The stud is supplied with water by a 100 m deep borehole and a pump powered by a single cylinder gas engine.

Das um 1730 erbaute Schloss Montigny ist ein gutes Beispiel für den klassischen Stil mit einem Mittelteil und zwei Flügeln. Um das Schloss herum befindet sich eine alte Kapelle mit einem angrenzenden Pfarrhaus und einem Taubenschlag. Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts wurde ein Gestüt gebaut, das auch heute noch in Betrieb ist. Das Gestüt wird durch eine 100 m tiefe Bohrung mit Wasser versorgt, das von einer Pumpe gepumpt wird, die von einem Einzylinder-Gasmotor angetrieben wird.
