Ancien château Seydoux – Le Cateau-Cambrésis

Sur les hauteurs dominant le Cateau, Auguste Seydoux fait construire en 1856 le château du mérinos pour son fils Charles. L'intérieur s'organise autour d'un hall central en marbre à colonnades avec escalier monumental. Les cheminées de marbre, les pièces lambrissées et les magnifiques parquets mêlant plusieurs nuances de bois témoignent de l'aisance de cette famille protestante. Le château abrite aujourd'hui un Institut Médico-Educatif.

On the heights overlooking Le Cateau, Auguste Seydoux had the Merino castle built in 1856 for his son Charles. The interior is organized around a central marble hall with colonnades and a monumental staircase. The marble fireplaces, the panelled rooms and the magnificent parquet floors mixing several shades of wood testify to the wealth of this Protestant family. The castle is now home to a medical-educational institute.

Auf den Anhöhen über Le Cateau ließ Auguste Seydoux 1856 das Merinoschloss für ihren Sohn Charles errichten. Das Innere ist um eine zentrale Marmorhalle mit Kolonnaden und einer monumentalen Treppe angeordnet. Die Marmorkamine, die holzgetäfelten Räume und die wunderschönen Parkettböden, die verschiedene Holzschattierungen mischen, zeugen vom Wohlstand dieser protestantischen Familie. Das Schloss beherbergt heute ein Institut Médico-Educatif.

Op de hoogten boven Le Cateau liet Auguste Seydoux in 1856 het Château du Merino bouwen voor zijn zoon Charles. Het interieur is georganiseerd rond een centrale marmeren hal met zuilengangen en een monumentale trap. De marmeren schouwen, de kamers met lambrisering en de prachtige parketvloeren in verschillende tinten getuigen van de rijkdom van deze protestantse familie. Het kasteel herbergt nu een medisch en educatief instituut.

Las chimeneas de mármol, las salas paneladas y los magníficos suelos de parqué que combinan varios tonos de madera dan fe de la riqueza de esta familia protestante. En la actualidad, el castillo alberga un instituto médico y educativo.
