C’est du choc entre réel et surnaturel que les récits fantastiques du XIXème siècle comme « le Horla » tirent l’essentiel de leur force. Le protagoniste est en proie à une terreur inexplicable, ses nuits sont hantées par un cauchemar récurrent au cours duquel il est agressé par un être invisible qui se nourrit de sa vie pendant son sommeil. Il sent qu’il tombe sous l’emprise de la créature qu’il nomme « Le Horla ». L’homme glisse lentement vers la folie… ou la vérité ? Dans cette adaptation scénique du texte de Maupassant, le trouble monte lentement, entre lumières inquiétantes et musique organique. Violoncelle à l’arrière-plan, gestes tranchés, tension constante : une plongée à vif dans les abysses du doute et de l’invisible.

Jahrhundert wie "Le Horla" beziehen ihre Kraft aus dem Zusammenprall von Realität und Übernatürlichem. Der Protagonist wird von einem unerklärlichen Schrecken geplagt, seine Nächte werden von einem wiederkehrenden Albtraum heimgesucht, in dem er von einem unsichtbaren Wesen angegriffen wird, das sich während des Schlafs von seinem Leben ernährt. Er spürt, dass er in den Bann der Kreatur gerät, die er "Le Horla" nennt. Der Mann schlittert langsam in den Wahnsinn – oder in die Wahrheit? Sente di cadere sotto l'incantesimo della creatura che chiama "Le Horla". L'uomo scivola lentamente verso la follia o verso la verità? In questo adattamento teatrale del testo di Maupassant, l'agitazione cresce lentamente, tra luci inquietanti e musica organica.
