« Handpan » est une évolution du steeldrum caribéen (baril de pétrole) et a été développé en 2000 à Berne. Cet instrument métallique en forme d'ovni est le premier idiophone à combiner mélodie, accords et percussion sur un seul et même matériau. Une première dans l'histoire des instruments de musique du monde entier ! Son son sphérique et riche en harmoniques est si nouveau qu'il ne déclenche en nous aucun souvenir de notre propre biographie. Nous tombons, comme par enchantement, dans l'ici et maintenant.

the "Handpan" is an evolution of the Caribbean steeldrum (oil drum) and was developed in Bern in 2000.
