The artist invites you into their studio as part of the 9th edition of the 2026 Artists’ Studio Open House. 28 local artists are opening the doors to their studios.

Dany Wattier – Painter:

'' Opening my studio is like opening the doors to my creative inner world. It is not just a room; it is a sanctuary where thoughts and emotions float, where time does not exist. You enter through the scent—an intoxicating blend of turpentine, oil, and pigments—before your eye is drawn to the organized chaos of brushes, rags, and traces of paint on the floor—archives of painterly impulses.

It is in the studio that the raw idea confronts the material, attempting to understand it in order to better master it, and also to understand the intimate relationship between materialand light. Furthermore, as a revealer of nuances and textures, light plays a pivotal role in the studio. In the studio, there is no room for error; error does not exist, only the unexpected forces creation; it is a space where positivity is omnipresent, verging on euphoria.%A0

In short, my studio is the necessary space between my inner world and my artwork.%A0

It is the space where I found life again. ''
