Dark Circus, Romain Bermont & Jean-Baptiste Mailet – Stereoptik – 19-12-2026 – Bayonne

%AB "Come one, come all—and become miserable" %BB that’s the Dark Circus’s slogan. In the story of this black-and-white circus, nothing goes as planned…; acrobats, trapeze artists, and animal trainers are plagued by bad luck, and dramatic acts follow one after another—until the arrival of a certain juggler? Magic and color then make their entrance into the ring. Based on an original story by Pef—best known for his illustrated book series *Le Prince de Motordu*—visual artists and musicians Jean-Baptiste Maillet and Romain Bermond manipulate ink, charcoal, sand, cut-out paper, and musical instruments to bring to life a fabulous poetic universe imbued with an irresistible old-world charm.
