Propriété familiale depuis trois générations. Le nom de Caillou vient de son sous-sol constitué d'un plateau argilo-calcaire nappé de sable rouge abritant des dalles et roches apportant ainsi au vin une grande finesse. D'une superficie de 13 hectares en un seul tenant remarquablement exposé, le vignoble est à 100 % de sémillon. Adhérent de la charte prestation Optivigne. Membres des Vignerons Indépendants.

Family owned for three generations, the name Caillou ("rock") comes from the unusual subsoil containing slabs of rock and boulders that help to produce a wine of great finesse. Classified as a Second Cru Classé in 1855, in the Barsac-Sauternes appellation. Access to the vineyard, visit to the cellars and tasting.

Der Name Caillou stammt von seinem Untergrund, der aus einem ton- und kalkhaltigen Plateau mit rotem Sand besteht, auf dem sich Steinplatten und Felsen befinden, die dem Wein eine große Finesse verleihen.
