Au départ du village, vous prendrez en direction de Saint-Hippolyte avec à votre droite le Mont Péjus et ses pelouses calcicoles. La randonnée traverse ensuite des paysages de bocage, des hameaux typiques jusqu'à Saint-Hippolyte et son église romane, dont l’existence est attestée vers l’an 1000 et qui était le siège d’un doyenné de l’abbaye de Cluny. Leaving the village, you’ll head toward Saint-Hippolyte, with Mont Pejus and its limestone meadows on your right. The hike then passes through wooded countryside and typical hamlets until you reachSaint-Hippolyte and its Romanesque church, whose existence is attested around the year 1000 and which served as the seat of a dean of Cluny Abbey. In the 13th century, it was fortified to assert the abbey’s power over the region. The journey to Cormatin, a charming village with its 17th-century castle, winds through the rural landscapes bordering the Grosne River.
