Les bois du sanglier – Blies-Ébersing

Un panneau d’information sur le circuit est mis en place dès le début de la randonnée. Suivez le balisage avec un anneau vert dans les deux sens pour vous repérer. Cet itinéraire débute par la traversée de Blies-Ebersing puis gravit le coteau pour rejoindre le plateau qui domine la Vallée de la Blies. Sur ces hauteurs, la forêt est alors omniprésente et offre sa fraicheur et sa tranquillité au marcheur. Soyez rassurés, le sanglier, emblème de Blies-Ebersing, qui vit en ces lieux ombragés, reste très discret et peu visible. Au fil de votre parcours, vous aurez l’occasion d’emprunter l'ancienne voie ferrée de la vallée de la blies : la "Bliestalbahn". Cette ligne fut créée en 1879, sous l’annexion allemande, pour relier Sarreguemines à Hombourg (Allemagne). Elle fut ainsi nommée car elle longeait la Blies sur une grande partie de son parcours. En 1991, la fermeture de la dernière desserte (Reinheim – Hombourg) mit fin à l’existence de cette ligne. Aujourd'hui, la voie a été aménagée pour les cyclistes et les piétons. Outre deux ouvrages d'art, un tunnel et un pont, d'autres vestiges de cette voie jalonnent encore la piste cyclable. Variante : Le circuit peut être complété par les circuits « Sur les pas des comtes » (4,6 km) et « Sur les rives de l'histoire » (20,3 km).
