Intégrés aux grands sites du Val de Loire, le château et son parc Valençay, en surplomb de la vallée du Nahon, offrent une très belle perspective depuis l’office du tourisme. En longeant cette demeure autrefois habitée par le Prince de Talleyrand, la découverte d’un coteau de vignobles est bien agréable jusqu’à la Garenne, pavillon élégant, servant de distraction aux Princes d’Espagne emprisonné au château. Le retour du circuit se fait par le quartier de l’église St-Martin au clocher singulier pour rejoindre le tombeau de Talleyrand, situé dans une chapelle à proximité de la mairie. A quelques pas, une halle couverte propose lors des marchés hebdomadaires de bons produits du terroir, les fromages de chèvre en forme de pyramide tronquée et les vins de l’AOP Valençay y ont toute leur place.
