Promenade dans le temps et dans l'espace, l'exposition permanente du musée des Alpilles évoque diverses facettes insoupçonnées ou mal connues du patrimoine régional : de l'Hypselosaurus, gentil dinosaure qui jadis fréquenta la contrée, au costume traditionnel et à la tauromachie de type camarguais en passant par la culture et le commerce duchardon cardère, du pavot somnifère et des graines de semence …et arts modestes Des oeuvres de renommée internationale, signées Vincent van Gogh ou Albert Gleizes,sont nées ici. Mais à côté existe aussi le travail souvent remarquable de créateurs discrets, anonymes ou de notoriété locale, sur lesquels le musée souhaite également attirer l'attention : ex voto déposés aux XVIIIe et XIXe siècles dans les chapelles, cannes et dévidoirs ouvragés, santons en terre crue, étonnantes enluminures d'Augustin Gonfond. The museum was created in 1919 by Pierre de Brun and was completely renovated from 2002 until early 2005. Ethnology… A visit to this museum offers a greater understanding of the current natural and human landscapes of this part of Provence, which extends between the Rhône, the Durance and the Alpilles Massif. A walk in time and space, the permanent exhibition of the Museum of the Alpilles evokes different unsuspected or little-known facets of regional heritage: from the Hypselosaurus, the gentle dinosaur who once roamed the area, to traditional costumes and Camargue bull-fighting, via the growing and trading of teasel, opium poppies and seeds … and modest art Internationally famous works by Vincent van Gogh and Albert Gleizes were created here. Das Gebäude, das 1862 offiziell als historisches Monument (Monument historique) eingestuft wurde, ist von besonderem architektonischen Interesse und besitzt einen bewundernswerten Innenhof. Das von Pierre de Brun 1919 geschaffene Museum wurde von 2002 bis 2005 vollständig renoviert. Völkerkunde… Der Besuch dieses Museums hilft dabei, die heutigen Landschaften, deren natürliche Beschaffenheit und die Auswirkungen der menschlichen Aktivitäten in diesem Teil der Provence zu begreifen, der sich zwischen Rhône, Durance und Alpillen erstreckt. Diese Dauerausstellung des Alpillen-Museums ist ein Bummel durch Raum und Zeit, und behandelt unerwartete bzw. wenig bekannte Facetten des regionalen Kulturguts: Angefangen bei dem netten Saurier Hypselosaurus, der seinerzeit die Gegend bewohnte, den Trachten der Provence, den Stierkämpfen nach provenzalischer Art bis zum Anbau und Verkauf der wilden Karde, des Schlaf bringenden Mohns und des Saatguts. …und einfache Kunst In unserer Gegend entstanden Werke von internationalem Bekanntheitsgrad der Maler Vincent van Gogh und Albert Gleizes. Daneben gibt es jedoch auch die oft bemerkenswerten Arbeiten unauffälliger, unbekannter oder nur örtlich bekannter Künstler, auf die das Museum ebenfalls aufmerksam machen möchte: Bildtafeln aus dem 18. und 19. Jahrhundert in den Kapellen, geschnitzte Stöcke und Spulen, ungebrannte Krippenfiguren, erstaunliche Buchmalereien von Augustin Gonfond.

Het museum werd door Pierre de Brun opgericht in 1919 en is van 2002 tot begin 2005 volledig gerenoveerd. Etnologie… Een bezoek aan dit museum draagt bij aan een beter begrip van de huidige, natuurlijke en door de mens gecreëerde landschappen in dit deel van de Provence, dat zich uitstrekt tussen de Rhône, de Durance en het Alpilles-massief. De permanente expositie in het museum van de Alpilles is een wandeling door de tijd en de ruimte en belicht een aantal onverwachte of onbekende facetten van het regionale erfgoed: van de hypselosaurus, een ongevaarlijke dinosaurus die vroeger in deze contreien voorkwam, tot de traditionele klederdracht, de stierengevechten in de Camargue en de teelt en verhandeling van kardoen, papaver en graszaad …en bescheiden kunst Internationaal vermaarde werken van Vincent van Gogh of Albert Gleize kwamen hier tot stand. Maar daarnaast wil het museum de aandacht vestigen op opvallend werk van onbekende, anonieme, of plaatselijk bekende kunstenaars: votiefbeelden die in de achttiende en negentiende eeuw in kapellen geplaatst zijn, bewerkte hengels en molens, santons van aardewerk, of verrassende miniaturen van Augustin Gonfond. De verzameling grafische kunst en fotografie en de nieuwe focus van het museum op werken over typografie en gravures, vertegenwoordigen het papier en de moderne graveerkunst.

Paseo por el tiempo y el espacio, la exposición permanente del museo de los Alpilles evoca las diferentes facetas insospechadas o poco conocidas del patrimonio regional: del Hypselosaurus, amable dinosaurio que frecuentó antaño la región, al traje tradicional y a la tauromaquia de tipo camargués pasando por el cultivo y el comercio del cardo, de la adormidera o de semillas …y artes modestas Obras de fama internacional, firmadas por Vincent van Gogh o Albert Gleizes, nacieron aquí. Pero a su lado existe también el trabajo a menudo destacable de creadores discretos, anónimos o de fama local, sobre los que el museo quiere llamar la atención: exvotos depositados en los siglos XVIII y XIX en las capillas, cañas y devanaderas talladas, figuritas de belén de adobe, sorprendentes miniaturas de Augustin Gonfond. El gabinete de artes gráficas y fotográficas así como la nueva orientación del establecimiento sobre las obras en el taller de tipografía y de grabado se traducen además en papel y en grabado contemporáneo.

La mostra permanente del museo delle Alpilles, vera e propria passeggiata nel tempo e nello spazio, evoca diverse sfaccettature inattese o poco note del patrimonio regionale: dall’Hypselosaurus, dinosauro gentile che frequentò questi luoghi, al costume tradizionale e alla tauromachia del tipo particolare praticato in Camargue, passando per la cultura e il commercio del cardo lanaiolo, del papavero da oppio e delle sementi… e le arti "modeste". Alcune opere di fama internazionale, firmate Vincent van Gogh o Albert Gleizes, sono nate qui. Accanto ad esse si trovano però anche i lavori spesso sorprendenti di creatori discreti, anonimi o celebrità locali, sui quali il museo desidera attirare l'attenzione: ex-voto depositati tra il Settecento e l'Ottocento nelle cappelle, bastoni e aspatoi lavorati, statuine di terra cruda e stupefacenti miniature di Augustin Gonfond. La sala delle arti grafiche e fotografiche, nonché il nuovo orientamento dell'istituto per quanto riguarda le opere dell'atelier di tipografia e incisione, esprimono l'universo della carta e dell'incisione contemporanea.
