Quatre avocats d’aujourd’hui se demandent s’il aurait été possible, deux siècles plus tard, de sauver la dernière favorite de Louis XV de la guillotine. La scène devient un prétoire et le spectateur se retrouve juré malgré lui. Écrite par Charles Amson, avocat au Barreau de Paris, la pièce est mise en scène par Jacques Connort, ancien directeur du Studio de la Comédie-Française. Elle sera jouée pour la première fois dans l’Oise. La représentation aura lieu dans la grande salle du Domaine de Saint-Germer, au pied d’une chapelle du XIVe siècle exceptionnellement ouverte à la visite pour cette soirée. Fermée au public le reste de l’année, elle a conservé sa charpente d’origine. En 2021, des chênes du domaine, descendants de ceux utilisés pour cette charpente, ont été donnés pour la reconstruction de Notre-Dame de Paris.
