Un équilibriste promet qu’il ne tombera pas alors que la gravité le pousse invariablement à la chute. Ces deux forces luttent sans répit. Et quand un combat a lieu sous nos yeux, difficile de les détourner. Dans un univers monochrome et accompagné en direct par les sons cosmiques de Raphael Raccuia, Marc Oosterhoff propose une performance sous haute tension – avec un sens du burlesque rappelant Buster Keaton. Les Promesses de l’incertitude fait le pari que la tension précédant l’action est plus intéressante que l’action elle- même en ce qu’elle contient toutes ses potentialités. La danse arrive sans crier gare, aux moments où on ne l’attend pas. Sur scène, le musicien et compositeur Raphael Raccuia, guitare électrique, boucles sonores, crée des ambiances tant cinématographiques et poétiques qu’impitoyables et industrielles.

And when a fight takes place before our very eyes, it's hard to turn them around.
