Vestiges Gallo-Romains – Ville-sur-Lumes

Les vestiges gallo-romains de Ville-sur-Lumes se situent principalement au lieu-dit « Les Sarteaux », à l'est du centre du village, s'étendant également sur la commune voisine de Saint-Laurent. Ce site archéologique correspond à un vicus, une agglomération secondaire de l'époque gallo-romaine, organisée autour d'un fanum, un temple de tradition celtique.Les fouilles menées ont révélé des structures liées à la captation et à l'évacuation des eaux, témoignant de l'ingéniosité des systèmes hydrauliques de l'époque.

The Gallo-Roman remains of Ville-sur-Lumes are mainly located in the area known as "Les Sarteaux", to the east of the village center, which also extends into the neighboring commune of Saint-Laurent. This archaeological site corresponds to a vicus, a secondary settlement from the Gallo-Roman period, organized around a fanum, a temple in the Celtic tradition. Excavations have revealed structures linked to water catchment and drainage, testifying to the ingenuity of hydraulic systems of the period.

Die gallo-römischen Überreste von Ville-sur-Lumes befinden sich hauptsächlich in "?Les Sarteaux?", östlich des Dorfzentrums, das sich auch auf die Nachbargemeinde Saint-Laurent erstreckt. Die archäologische Stätte entspricht einem vicus, einer sekundären Siedlung aus der gallorömischen Zeit, die um ein fanum, einen Tempel keltischer Tradition, herum angelegt war.
