Rocher Lapopie – Saint-Cirq-Lapopie

Au point culminant de la falaise, la popie supportait le premier château du site, construit au Xème siècle et remanié au XIIème. Subsistent les soubassements de la tour maîtresse et du logis seigneurial qui dominaient le fort, ainsi que les vestiges d'une porte fortifiée de l'enceinte. Le sommet du rocher et le belvédère aménagé en contre-bas offrent des points de vue sur l'ensemble de la vallée.

At the highest point of the cliff, the popie supported the first castle of the site, built in the Xth century and reworked in the XIIth. The foundations of the main tower and the lordly dwelling which dominated the fort remain, as well as the remains of a fortified gate of the enclosure. The top of the rock and the belvedere below offer views over the whole valley.

Auf dem höchsten Punkt der Klippe stützte der Popie die erste Burg des Ortes, die im 10. Jahrhundert erbaut und im 12. umgebaut wurde. Jahrhundert umgebaut wurde. Erhalten geblieben sind die Grundmauern des Hauptturms und des Herrenhauses, die die Festung überragten, sowie die Überreste eines befestigten Tors der Festungsanlage. Von der Spitze des Felsens und dem darunter liegenden Aussichtspunkt kann man das gesamte Tal überblicken.

En el punto más alto del acantilado, el popie sostenía el primer castillo del lugar, construido en el siglo X y reformado en el XII. Se conservan los cimientos de la torre principal y de la residencia del señor, que dominaban el fuerte, así como los restos de una puerta fortificada en el recinto. La cima de la roca y el mirador de abajo ofrecen vistas de todo el valle.
