Musée de la Résistance – Peyrat-le-Château

Vers l'an 1000, avant la création de l'étang, une enceinte protégeait une motte castrale dominant le site. Au XVème siècle, elle est remplacée par la tour carrée, tour-porte, qui est au centre du remaniement défensif de l'enceinte. Aux XVIIème-XVIIIème siècles, un bâtiment d'habitation s'est greffé à cette tour pour donner à l'édifice son aspect actuel.

Around the year 1000, before the creation of the pond, an enclosure protected a motte castrale dominating the site. In the 15th century, this was replaced by the square tower, the gate tower, which was at the heart of the defensive remodeling of the enclosure. In the 17th and 18th centuries, a residential building was added to this tower, giving the building its current appearance.

Um das Jahr 1000, bevor der Teich angelegt wurde, schützte eine Ringmauer eine den Ort beherrschende Motte castrale. Im 15. Jahrhundert wurde sie durch den quadratischen Turm, einen Torturm, ersetzt, der im Zentrum der defensiven Umgestaltung der Stadtmauer stand. Im 17. und 18. Jahrhundert wurde an den Turm ein Wohngebäude angebaut, das dem Gebäude sein heutiges Aussehen verlieh.
