Maison de Lamartine – Milly-Lamartine

Construite en 1705 par l'arrière-grand-père d'Alphonse de Lamartine, au départ pour servir de « vendangeoir » sur le domaine viticole, c'est dans cette maison que le poète a vécu toute son enfance et son adolescence. Cette demeure familiale à laquelle il était très attaché lui inspira certains de ses plus beaux poèmes. Elle est aujourd'hui classée à l'ISMH. Espace livres et documents évoquant l'enfance du poète Lamartine, ses sources d'inspiration littéraire et l'activité viticole. Jardin.

Built in 1705 by Alphonse de Lamartine’s great-grandfather, initially built to serve as a “fermenting room” on the wine estate, that’s the house where the poet lived his entire childhood and teenage years. This family home to which he was very much attached inspired some of his most beautiful poems. It is nowadays classified ISMH (listed monument on the French supplementary list of historic monuments).
