A land of contrasts, Langon stands out for its archaeological heritage, with all eras represented: the Neolithic period with its megaliths, the Roman era with the Chapelle Sainte-Agathe and the Roman road, the modern era with numerous manor houses, and the contemporary period with its engineering structures such as the Corbinières viaduct and the Port de Roche bridge.
