Fort Barraux – Barraux

Fort-Barraux constitue l’une des plus anciennes et des plus prestigieuses places défensives des Alpes. Une fortification bastionnée créée au XVIe siècle, puis remaniée, notamment par Vauban au XVIIIe siècle.

Fort Barraux is one of the oldest and most prestigious defences in the Alps. A bastioned fortification created in the 16th century, it was subsequently modified, notably by Vauban in the 18th century.
