Fontaine Bacchus – Besançon

Cette fontaine conserve par sa dénomination le souvenir de l'activité viticole qui animait le quartier Battant autrefois et l'existence d'une ancienne fontaine ornée d'un Bacchus de pierre oeuvre de Claude Lulier en 1579. Alphonse Delacroix, architecte de la ville, dessina la fontaine en 1854. Architecte de talent, Alphonse Delacroix est à l'origine de la création de l'aqueduc d'arcier en 1850. Pour fêter l'arrivée des eaux d'Arcier, la municipalité décide la création de trois nouvelles fontaines dont la fontaine Bacchus.
