Église Saint-Sardos – Saint-Sardos

L'église Saint-Sardos est une superbe église médiéval datant du XIIe siècle : à cette époque, le prieuré de Saint-Sardos dépendait de l'abbaye de Sarlat. Une bastide s'éleva autour du monastère. Au cours des luttes du XIVe au XVIe siècle, le prieuré et son église furent dévastés et en partie ruinés. Elle a donc été remplacée, au cours du XIXe siècle par un bâtiment neuf, dans lequel ont été incorporées des parties anciennes comme des chapiteaux sculptés ou le portail, élément architectural frappant sur cet édifice.

Saint-Sardos church is a superb medieval church dating back to the 12th century, when the priory of Saint-Sardos was part of the Sarlat abbey. A fortified town grew up around the monastery. During the battles of the 14th and 16th centuries, the priory and its church were devastated and partly ruined. In the 19th century, the church was replaced by a new building, incorporating some of the old features such as carved capitals and the portal, a striking architectural feature of the building.

Die Kirche Saint-Sardos ist eine wunderschöne mittelalterliche Kirche aus dem 12. Jahrhundert: Zu dieser Zeit war das Priorat Saint-Sardos von der Abtei von Sarlat abhängig. Um das Kloster herum entstand eine Bastide. Während der Kämpfe vom 14. bis 16. Jahrhundert wurden das Priorat und seine Kirche verwüstet und zum Teil ruiniert. Jahrhundert durch einen Neubau ersetzt, in den alte Teile wie die geschnitzten Kapitelle oder das Portal, ein auffälliges architektonisches Element an diesem Gebäude, eingefügt wurden.

De kerk van Saint-Sardos is een prachtige middeleeuwse kerk uit de 12e eeuw: in die tijd hing de priorij van Saint-Sardos af van de abdij van Sarlat. Rond het klooster ontstond een versterkte stad. Tijdens de gevechten in de 14e en 16e eeuw werden de priorij en de kerk verwoest en gedeeltelijk verwoest. Daarom werd het in de 19e eeuw vervangen door een nieuw gebouw, waarin oude onderdelen werden verwerkt zoals gebeeldhouwde kapitelen en het portaal, een opvallend architectonisch kenmerk van dit gebouw.

Alrededor del monasterio creció una ciudad fortificada. Durante las batallas de los siglos XIV y XVI, el priorato y su iglesia quedaron devastados y parcialmente en ruinas. Por ello, fue sustituido en el siglo XIX por un nuevo edificio, en el que se incorporaron partes antiguas, como los capiteles esculpidos y el portal, elemento arquitectónico llamativo de este edificio.

Intorno al monastero si sviluppò una città fortificata. Durante le battaglie del XIV e XVI secolo, il priorato e la sua chiesa furono devastati e in parte rovinati. Per questo motivo, nel XIX secolo fu sostituito da un nuovo edificio, nel quale sono state incorporate parti antiche come i capitelli scolpiti e il portale, una caratteristica architettonica sorprendente di questo edificio.
